Read the Word:
Psalm 79:1-13
Meditate on the Word:
God’s enemies are certainly bold today. They are attacking His people on every front, and it seems that we are completely surrounded. Even though we know the eventual outcome, which is that God’s people are saved from destruction and His enemies meet His wrath, it can still be difficult. But among the biggest of the enemies that we deal with is our own sin.
If we are committing sins, we are giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Sometimes, what we might be experiencing is not persecution for faith in Christ, but simply the consequences of our own sin. We often must ask our Lord to point out our sin to us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He is faithful to deliver us in the midst of attacks of our enemy. Even if that enemy is us.
Pray the Word:
Thank the Lord for deliverance today.
