Meditate on the Word:
Scripture often talks about wisdom. We are told that wisdom “cries out in the streets” (Prov. 1:20). Yet, we can find ourselves ignoring wisdom or tuning her out for louder voices. We can fail to perceive wisdom, instead choosing to focus our attention on the many demands of our lives or on the many devices and apps competing for our attention. God chooses to reveal things to us, but we absolutely must be open to receiving those things.
In the passage, we are talking about knowledge of God and His character, not about having special revelation about people and events. The Holy Spirit may provide us insights into things, but this is not what we are seeking. We are seeking to know God better and to rely on Him.
Pray the Word:
Pray today that God would help you to know more of his grace and power today.
