Read the Word:
Acts 3:11-16
Meditate on the Word:
What had happened was an undeniable miracle. A man that had been well known as crippled for years had suddenly and miraculously been healed. Peter and John had participated in the miracle, but they were not the cause of it. The onlookers did not understand, so Peter explained it to them.
Here Peter and John provide a wonderful example of using a situation to share Christ. They had not performed the miracle and certainly didn’t want credit for it. They wanted that God would receive the glory. Like the onlookers in this situation, we are often tempted to give credit to humans for God’s work. We give credit to doctors for healing without realizing that God has given them the ability to do so. Let us always look for the opportunity to praise God in any situation and to point others to Him.
Pray the Word:
Ask our Lord to give you the sensitivity to recognize his work today.
