Read the Word:
Numbers 16:41-50
Meditate on the Word:
Immediately before this, Korah and his group decided to rebel against Moses. They did not like Moses being their leader and got a large group together to presumably remove him from power. God was not having it, and showed his power. He clearly demonstrated who He wanted in charge. This, however, did not satisfy the people. They blamed Moses and Aaron for “killing the Lord’s people.”
Their apparent hatred for Moses and Aaron led them to blame these two for what God had clearly done. These two men could not have caused the earth to swallow up Korah, Dathan, and Abiram with their families and belongings. But that didn’t stop the people from blaming them. Even in the midst of being blamed for what God had done, Aaron stood between God and the people blaming him and made atonement to stop them from being killed.
Many today blame Christians for a variety of ills. Are we prepared to stand before them and ask God to forgive them? To redeem them? To stop them from dying in their tracks?

Think about that soul that you know that needs salvation. Pray for that person today.
