Read the Word:
Psalm 19:1-14
Meditate on the Word:
I recently saw a news article about a group that takes disabled veterans on excursions out into nature. The idea was that these vets would build comeraderie during the excursion, each not feeling quite as alone with their injuries. It was also noted several times during the discussion that being out in wide open nature gives one a sense of awe, that it makes one feel like something much bigger than himself. I believe that we are meant to experience this awe often.
Being outside and observing what God has created gives us a great reminder that what He has created is good. Looking at Creation gives us a glimpse of the power of the One who created what we see. It is a good reminder of just how big He is and how small we are.
Pray the Word:
Join with David in praying, “May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, Lord, my rock and my Redeemer.” — Psalms 19:14 (CSB)
