Read the Word:
Galatians 6:7-10
Meditate on the Word:
If you spend any time on social media, or watching television, you will notice that there is no shortage of people mocking God. A church member was recently shocked to see a bumper sticker that declared “God failed.” People who mock and deny the Living God will all be in fear and trembling when they meet Him. But there are plenty who claim to love Christ, yet mock Him with lifestyles that contradict His teaching and His nature. These will also meet Him one day. These are the ones who will hear, “Depart from Me, I never knew you.”
Paul seems to have worldly “Christians” in mind when discussing that God is not mocked. One can claim to be Christian, yet if they are only concerned with themselves and storing up earthly treasures, the evidence does not support the claim. While only faith can save us, not works, our works are the evidence of our faith. Tirelessly working for good can serve as evidence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Let us keep that in mind today.
Pray the Word:
Ask our Lord to reveal if you are sowing to the flesh or to the Spirit today.
