Read the Word:
1 Timothy 1:12-17
Meditate on the Word:
We know one thing for certain about Apostle Paul. He always remembered who he had been. He had formerly been arrogant in his religious zeal. He formerly had rejected Christ. He formerly had even jailed and killed Christ’s followers. He was on the way to continue doing this work when he had his encounter with Christ on the road to Damascus.
Paul’s testimony was a frequent part of his sharing of the gospel. While he was also adept at using scriptures to prove that Jesus was the Christ, this did not convince many people. But pointing out how our Lord had transformed this killer of Christians into the biggest evangelist and church planter of the first-century church shows God’s grace. Paul’s basic point: If God did this for me, He can do this for you too. Sharing our testimony is good practice for us as well.
Pray the Word:
Ask our Lord for the courage to share the good news with someone today.
