Read the Word:
Isaiah 43:10-13
Meditate on the Word:
Witnesses are important. They have a story to tell. In a court case, witnesses make it possible to convict or acquit the accused. On the evening news, they tell the story of the traffic accident they witnessed, the fight that broke out at the city council meeting, or the terrible wind of the tornado that went through. In the case of God’s people, as Prophet Isaiah reminds us, witnesses are to tell the story of what God has done.
Of course, we were not there to witness events told about in the Bible. We trust the testimony of those witnesses who were there when talking about things like Christ’s resurrection, for example. But, as those whom God has chosen, we have witnessed Him do great things in many lives. We have seen the lost become found (including ourselves). We have seen miraculous healings, families restored, relationships repaired, and many other things. We are the witnesses of God’s work still today. Let us continue to tell people the great things He has done.
Pray the Word:
Thank the Lord for a great thing that He has done in your life. Commit to telling someone about it today.
