Meditate on the Word:
The job of a preacher is very difficult at times. It’s wonderful when we get to preach the good news. However, there are also unpopular truths in the scriptures that we must preach as well. Truths that people just don’t want to hear or believe. Truths that will make people in our culture mock and hate us. Truths that even some who claim to be with us deny.
Paul was correct in writing to Timothy that people will not tolerate sound doctrine. Perhaps never more right than in our current culture. Many in pulpits have exchanged the truth of the gospel for the lies of the world. Many in the world need the truth and there are few to proclaim it to them.
Pray the Word:
Pray for your preacher to be steadfast in proclaiming the truth.
